Day 2 -- Knowing Myself

Group 1 Sarah Chow 3S (7)
It was a rather exhausting day to us after walking around the spacious Western University campus. We learnt from the counsellors that there is an array of clubs in the university. After the long walk, we went back to the Brescia campus and had a circuit session, in which we practised numerous types of moves. Such training does require much endurance and perseverance.
At night, we watched an inspiring movie about the importance of willpower but not individual glory amidst difficulties and struggles. It is essential for us to follow our dreams despite the obstacles lying ahead.

Group 2 Alice Tam 3S (28)
We started our second day in Canada with a lesson on personal leadership, which means leading ourselves inside out. Only if we understand our own personalities and potentials well can we understand the values of others and become caring and responsible leaders in life. Also, we had a leisurely stroll around the huge campus of the Western University.
After the walk, we had a fitness circuit, which was taxing but still good for our health. At night we watched a movie called “Hidden Figures” to relax ourselves. Despite it being an exhausting day, we have learnt a lot from our experience.

Group 3 Alison Chan 3T (5)
The most impressive part of the day was the tour around the campus of the Western University and having a picnic there. During our walk, we had a glimpse of a variety of school buildings of various faculties. We were amazed by the stunning architecture with most of the design being unique and gothic.
After the awe-inspiring visit, we enjoyed our delicious lunch under the shade of trees. We relished the precious moments during our picnic because we do not always have the opportunity to spend time in the nature.

Group 4 Ellie Law 3T (22)
It is our second day at Brescia and my favorite part of the day is the campus tour, since we visited glamorous halls and buildings in the university. I am more cognizant of the huge difference in campus life between Canada and Hong Kong, take the much larger space and the greater variety of facilities here. I have started to appreciate school life in Canada.
The lesson today focuses on personal leadership, which is leading “inside out”. We learnt to be more aware of our strengths and weaknesses in order to lead others better. We also discussed how to plan and prioritise. It was an incredibly rewarding day.

Group 5 Amber Chan 3P (1)
It was our second day in Canada, and we began to settle better into the new environment.
We learnt to prioritise better after our lecture on knowing ourselves better, and also discovered our love language. All our members share one love language, and through that lesson we've learnt something truly valuable, as we now know how to help each other in their times of need.
The 'I Am' craft and the icebreaker games also allowed us to know each other better. We felt more relaxed and energized after the campus tour, fitness class and movie screening. We were so happy because we have more free time and can engage in a variety of activities here. The pace of life here seems slower and more relaxing. It was a fun and informative day.

Group 6 Ellen Chan 3T (4)
In the morning, we toured around the Western University campus. We were amazed by the many spectacular buildings in such a huge campus. Compared to Hong Kong, there are a lot more blocks for different faculties, such as science and art. The building designs are also contemporary and innovative. Our favourite part of the Western University is the Community Centre which contains a movie theatre, dental clinic and grocery stores, etc providing comprehensive support services for students!
In the afternoon, we attended a one-hour fitness class conducted by a yoga instructor. Although it was exhausting, we gained a lot and learnt the importance of perseverance. We felt so refreshed and amazed after this short workout session because we got the chance to do some stretching and burn some calories. We wish we could do these exercises every day to keep our bodies fit and healthy.

Group 7 Suann Leung 3S (23)
It is the 2nd day of our tour. We visited different buildings and took photos around the enormous campus in the morning. Although the hot weather made us sweat a lot, it was a great experience to look at the spectacular view here. We also enjoyed a picnic lunch in a natural environment which is full of trees and flowers. It was definitely amazing, even the numerous bugs and bees could not bother us! Besides, I have learnt more about myself after the lecture and making the 'I AM' craft. In the evening, we watched the movie 'Hidden Figures' which is about three black women fighting for equal rights. The acts of the trio deeply impressed me and left me with a good end of the day.

Group 8 Rachel Lee 3L (16)
Day 2 of our Brescia tour was packed with activities. As a continuation of our campus tour yesterday, we had an opportunity to explore the main campus of Western University in the morning. The attractive designs of the main buildings and its environmentally friendly structures made the campus an excellent place for students to study in. The highlight of the tour, however, was our lunch picnic, as it was a rare and memorable experience for us. Our meals prepared by the cafeteria chefs were simply delicious. After lunch, a variety of activities including fitness class and arts and crafts were held in the campus.  The movie screening after dinner ended our day on a high note. Even though today was exhausting, it was packed with entertaining and enjoyable activities. We look forward to the activities to come!

Day 10 -- Goal Setting

Group 1 Samantha Wong 3S (30) The weather of the today was sunny and just perfect for an outing, making our visit to the Kustermans Berry Farm a very pleasant experience. The farm is not only the place where berries grow, but also home to animals such as ponies, pigs, sheeps and more. Our visit began with berry-picking. The blueberries were fresh and large. They looked so juicy that we all couldn’t help packing our plastic boxes with berries.  We then headed to play on the swing, zip-line and even tried to ride on a pony! Riding on a pony was the most exciting activity, and also my favourite part of today. I had never ridden a pony before. I was a bit scared at first since I worried that the horse would lose its balance due to the weight and fell. However, it turned out to be a fun experience. I even took some pictures with the pony. All in all, we enjoyed visiting the farm a lot, and we couldn’t wait to taste our very first pack of self-picked blueberries! G roup 2 Cherian Leu

Day 5 -- Understanding Differences

Group 1 Samantha Wong 3S (30) Canada is a beautiful country with rich traditions and cultural heritage. Today, we went to the Fanshawe Pioneer Village. We experienced different activities such as feeding roosters, trying out the traditional way of printing, and processing wool into yarn. It was meaningful because we would not be able to have these experiences in Hong Kong. We were also very lucky and blessed with the fine weather during our visit We got on the bus just right before it started pouring heavily. There was a power suspension in the university as cables were damaged by fallen trees in the thunderstorm. We had to take cold showers. But this experience was unique! We understood that hot water supply is very precious and we should try our very best to conserve environment in order to ensure enough water supply for everyone on earth. Group 2 Janice Wong 3L (31) On the fifth day in Canada, we started off our day with a swimming session. We played games and had lots o
